At WTW, careers are shaped by the courage to be curious and the power of connection. That’s exactly what drives Leah Devereux-McKenzie, a Corporate Risk and Broking Apprentice within our International Property team.

Leah joined WTW with a desire to explore the world of risk and insurance and quickly discovered that this was much more than a typical entry-level role. “One of the things I love most about working here is the wide range of opportunities I’ve been exposed to,” she shares. “But my favorite part is definitely meeting new people and building connections across the industry.”

Her role offers daily chances to engage with professionals at all levels, from peers to clients to mentors. And while that might seem daunting at first, Leah has learned that showing up with curiosity and confidence makes all the difference. “Even when I haven't felt confident, I’ve made the effort to be proactive. People really do recognize and appreciate that,” she reflects.

Leah’s journey so far has been one of growth, not just professionally but personally. She’s built a network of colleagues, advisors, and friends and she’s gaining real-world experience that bridges her academic learning with tangible business impact. Her advice for others considering an apprenticeship at WTW? “Be confident and be proactive”
